Colonnade Group Announces CEO and Chairman Transition
We announced this week to our staff that Robbie Robertson, our Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, will transition to Chairman of the Board. Lori Robertson, who has served as Chief of Staff and overseen Colonnade’s VIP Events division, will assume the role of President and CEO. As valued clients and partners, we wanted you to be the next to know!
“We have always operated with relationships as our number one priority, whether with clients, partners, or our own team of people, and I have full confidence that our commitment to existing and future relationships will not waver. Lori has served in every type of role over her 30-year career here, and she is absolutely equipped to execute our vision,” Robbie said.
Following her graduation from Texas A&M University in 1991, Lori has served in every division of our company since 1992, having worked on our very first SEC basketball tournament and football championship game, following the conference expansion of the previous year. After her start with us, she worked as the event director for several of our golf events on the PGA Tour, and even ran our first corporate hospitality village at LSU. In 1993, Lori was integral to the success of our first Elev8 program at Auburn, which eventually evolved into a successful premium seating program that we’re still proud of today!
While Lori has touched nearly every aspect of our company, and her experience here is deep and wide, perhaps her greatest asset is how she cares about people and relationships. For a company who has always believed in the importance of human interaction and relationships, she has been a natural fit from her first event.
“I am excited about the future of the Colonnade Group and stand ready to take on this new role. Robbie has worked tirelessly over the past 30 years to build a business that we are all very proud of today. The qualities I have learned from his leadership will continue to be what I build on as we move forward,” Lori said.
Robbie will remain heavily involved in our business development initiatives, and he will continue to build relationships as he loves to do.
Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support of the Colonnade Group. Even amid our current climate, we look forward to the day when we can gather again for our events with you!
