Helping the Gamecocks feel at home again.

After an EF-3 tornado last March caused extensive damage in Jacksonville, Alabama, JSU’s Pete Mathews Coliseum did not fare well. Colonnade’s Venu+ team, led by Josh Logan, managed crews to reinstall the decking, guard rails and hand rails, as well as many other technical parts, so those nice seats have a sturdy place to sit. Helping to bring this arena back to life was an honor for our team, but our employees didn’t stop there with rebuilding efforts.

In September, JSU’s campus hosted the “Alabama & Friends Benefit Concert” to help bring the community together and raise funds for relief efforts. Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium was lit up with musical names like Alabama, The Charlie Daniels Band, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and Jamey Johnson. Amy Blount, Colonnade’s Elev8 Director at JSU, was happy to be a part of the event, as she coordinated the guest experiences in all premium areas of the stadium.

Amy and Josh are both graduates of JSU, so it was particularly special for them to be community contributors during such a challenging time for Jacksonville. Now that Jacksonville is moving forward, we hope the Gamecocks feel at home in their renewed facility, and we’re proud that Colonnade was able to have a part in the rebuilding efforts there.
